A "new" species to the
trade this semi-transparent cardinalfish has
a prominent scarlet spot of colour on the caudal
peduncle making it very attractive to aquarists.
Little is know of its aquarium husbandry at
present although it seems likely that it will
be as easy to care for as similar species found
in the genus Apogon.
It
readily accepts meaty
foods such as brine
shrimp and mysis.
