One of the most stunningly beautiful
of all marine fish regularly available in the
hobby. However, it can be fiercely territorial
and is almost guaranteed to contract one protozoan
parasite or another when stocked into a live
rock based aquarium. For these reasons and more
it is best left as the final fish of any size
to be added to most systems.
Provide
dried alage for it
to nibble at and
feed garlic enhanced
foods (you can now
get algae treated
with garlic)
or foods designed
to "boost" the
immune system. A
UV on your system
is also very wise.
Once the fish has
settled then as long
as you
look after it and
your water quality
then you should experience
this fish at its
very best.
