The genus Gobiodon contains a
number of laterally compressed species of goby
that are specialised for an existence amongst
the branches of various species of small polyp
stony corals. Target specimens feeding well
and that don't look skinny.
Vibrant
colours may or may
not be present depending
upon how
long they have
been in residence
in the selling aquaria
for- they can fade
a little over this
time. However, once
placed into a reef
aquarium
for a period of
time they will regain
this colouration
and look as beautiful
as they would in
their
natural environment.
